Its a great trilogy and is up there with me as a top 10 trilogy but that's with me being a big Planet of the Ape fan. Truth is. Dawn is the only "Great" film out of the trilogy. It gave a story from a 50/50 perspective. The Humans/Apes. It shown that both sides have good and evil willing to do what it takes to protect their own.Dawn and War are easily two of the best sci-fi movies ever made. Maybe it’s because Rise was just decent compared to the two great films that followed it, but this trilogy gets slept on way too much by general audiences. It’s better than any Star Wars since the ‘80s and Caesar’s arc is so emotionally fulfilling.The newer trilogy is not a remake of the original but more a complete rewrite of the story and a commendable upgrade to everything else about the movie.
