Commencement. The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine holds commencement ceremonies in Pennsylvania and Florida in the spring of each year. LECOM Erie, Elmira, and LECOM at Seton Hill graduates attend their ceremony at the Erie Insurance Arena in Erie. Bradenton graduates attend their ceremony at the Bradenton Convention Center in Palmetto.My favorite LECOM financial statistic involves the graduation fee. 225 students paying $250/year for 4 years = $225,000 graduation ceremony. Quite honestly, this had better be the most extravagant graduation ceremony in history (I'm talking open bar and lobster for everyone extravagant), or else I'm going to feel cheated!!!

There are fewer people than you might expect who are willing to actually COMMIT to primary care. A lot of people want to talk about it, but also want to keep their options open. So, if you really want it, it is certainly worth the try.

Before choosing to attend the school, I had read lots of negative posts on SDN about it and had always planned to leave a review about it giving the positives and negatives for other pre-pharms.

LECOM has an Early Acceptance Program ("EAP") for high school seniors - you apply to an affiliated undergarduate school and interview at LECOM, if you pass the interview, then you are in the EAP at the affiliated college, and if you keep the grades up, etc you are accepted into LECOM DO program in 3 years. If you can afford to attend the interview without much trouble I say go for it—you might like the feel of the program even better.
